I am going to (try) and every week on Thursday blog for things that I am thankful for.
I am thankful for my family and all that they do for me, the time we are able to spend together, and all they have to offer. It's taken me almost 3 decades how lucky I am to have such a great family. Without them I am nothing. With them I am everything. I love you guys!

Don't sit there..
My great dane usually sits on the couch like a human. Deuce will have his butt on the cushion and his front feet on the floor. Tonight I was sitting right next to him on his spot on the couch. Dad came in the room and Deuce got of "his" spot. Dad was messing with him for a bit and then sat down right next to me, in Deuces spot....
What did my precious little dog do?
He started growling and barking at my dad. Dad laughed and got up. Deuce proceeded to push past him and sat down as quick as possible. Like he was reclaiming his thrown.
It made us laugh so hard, i had to blog about it so i can remember this one...

My Valentine
So, a few weeks ago my ex wanted to get back in contact again. I told him we were "just talking". This guy is so crazy! I don't even know where to begin. On Thursday I received a dozen red roses from a guy i dated over the summer....
I think it's a little too late to try to make nice.

Color me brown
You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it's by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.
I just love how cute this figure is? Guess I'm a big nerd that cannot dress, go me!

Snow Day
Today some of my family and I took up the dogs for a day in the snow. It was a lot of fun. Our street did not get plowed (so we had to park out car and walk).
Here are some pictures I took from my cell of the dogs playing and having fun.
(Playing in the cul-de-sac)
(Here is his "fierce" pose)
My dad ended up hurting himself going down on sled. He got tangled up with a part of a tree and it stabbed him in his leg. So, we had to head back to town early. He is at Urgent Care right now pulling down his pants for a tetanus shot. Dad still claims it was an awesome run. We believe you but I doubt anyone else wants to try it out.
Despite Dads injury it ended up being a nice and relaxing trip up to play in the snow.
Update: So my mom and dad spent 2 hours at Urgent Care. Dad got his tetanus shot, 5 stitches and some pain med's. Wow! I just thought dad got pricked with a stick. When they got home mom and dad talked about how the ladies there were impressed and gave him a *high five* for being 62 years old and trying to sled, he can't wait to go sledding again. :)
